Bass River Golf Course in South Yarmouth is one of the oldest layouts on Cape Cod (1900) featuring typical New England-style small tees and greens. The front nine is short and scenic with a few holes nestled alongside the Bass. The back nine is more wide open and longer with a trio of par-5 holes. It is a popular course among the local residents and, after playing it, you can see why. The Donald Ross characteristics are pronounced, especially regarding his use of the elevation changes in the terrain.
